I'm a chess and bridge player. This blog is intended to show some of the atrocities I've perpetrated on partner, any interesting hands that have occurred recently and some general ramblings.

We came 5th in the Farquharson Trophy for SBU magazine subscribers. The play and bidding were fairly patchy. This was a top when I found Kevin with 3 aces. Obviously bidding Blackwood with a void is silly but we don't have any way to find a specific ace.



At another table over a 3C preempt and 3S by West, East bid 5S highlighting 2 losers in clubs. I hadn't heard that before - it seems sensible.
